We are on the final part of our 2014 RV trip. We visited Jerry's son & Grandaughter in Texas and Jerry's brother and his wife in New Mexico. We have had some stiff winds in West Texas and South New Mexico. While in Las Vegas we attended a fantastic presentation of the Cirque Du Soleil show "ZARKANA." This is an awesome show.
We stopped in Reno, NV for the 2014 CALLERLAB Convention. We always look forward to the convention when we can meet new friends and get reaquaited with our friends from all around the square dance worl.
We stopped in Mount Shasta in California (Near Mt Shasta Mountain) for two nights. What beatiful country & views of the mountain. We also plan to stop near Crater Lake in Oregon.
We spent four days in Portland, OR to visit with Jerry's son. Kelly was "tour guide" around the prtland area. What fantastic scenary - Mount Hood, numerous waterfaals, rolling hiils and much more. We experienced all the weather Portland has to offer - sunny - rainy - hail - and we drove in some snow on Mt hood. Portland is also famous for GREAT food and Kelly made sure we sampled a big part of it - YUMMY!!!
After Portland traveled up the Columbia River Gourge toward Idaho. At Boardman, OR we headed South East and left the Gorge. We stopped in Baker City, OR for some much need rest.
After Baker city, we moved to Twin Falls, ID for a couple of days then on to Idaho Falls, ID. Here we visited the Maleluca store to fill our monythly order. Del also did some drawing on the Snake River in the middle of town.
We then moved to Jackson, WY. What beautiful country this is. Snow capped mountains near by and the National Wildlife ART Museum. After Jackson, we moved to Laner, WY for a visit and tour of the Eagle Bronze company. This was one of our "bucket list" items when we left home. They are a major foundry for bronze art work, including some VERY large art works. We then moved to Guernsey, WY for a visit with Jerry's sister and her husband. Then on the Lusk, WY for an art workshop - Del enjoyed this VERY MUCH!
After Wyoming we moved to Hill City, SD for a visit to Custer State park, Crazy Horse Monument and others - we always enjoy our visits here.
We moved from Hill City, SD to Rapid City, SD. Even though we have passed through this area 6 or 7 times, this was the first visit to Rapid City. We had lunch at the Firehouse Brewry & eatery. this is an historic fire station, very interesting place to eat. Del also found a fasinating high end western store. Very nice items, some museum quality.
After we lefy South Dakota, we stoagopped in Gibbon, Nebraska for a few days visit with Jerry's brother and his wife. We had a VERY nice visit. After Nebraska we made a stop in Le Claire, IA for a visit to the Antique Archeology shop. This is the Home base for mike & Frank - - the American Pickers. It was very interesting to see many of the items we sawe them "pick" on the TV show. Among the gems was a "Von Dutch" motorcycle. This is a unique motorcycle created by Von Dutch severl decades agpo. Mike paid $21,000 for it. It is NFS (NOT FOR SALE).
After Iowa we moved on the Aurora, Illinois for a visit with Del's brother. We paln to be here a few days before continuing our "meander" to ward home.
After Illinois we moved to Cape Girargeau, MO. This is the home town of Rush - one of our favorite talk radio hosts. While here we got word about a family emergency back home. Del flew to Florida and returned on June 22
We then moved to Little Rock, AR to attend the 63rd NSDC. This three day event is a gathering of dancers from all around he world. nearly 4,000 dancers attended and danced all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
We attended the ARTS meeting on Sunday and are now headed home.

Jerry calls the CALLERLAB Mainstream, Plus, Advanced, and C-1 programs. He is has decided to stop traveling to call for clubs outside our local area. He has provided caller training and discussions with numerous caller or dancer groups over the past 20 years. Jerry was the CALLERLAB Executive Director for over ten years and is currently a CALLERLAB B Board Member. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Traditional, Round, and Square Dancing (ARTS).
Jerry was sworn in as a Member of the CALLERLAB Board Of Governors on April 2, 2012 in Nashville, TN.
He will serve a three year term until April 2015 and plans to run for the Board in August 2014.

Jerry & Del live in Rockldege, Florida on the Central East Coast near the Kennedy Space Cnter approximatley 50 miles east of Orlando.
Jerry has been calling since 1978 and has been a Member of CALLERLAB, The International Association of Square Dance Callers since 1983. Jerry served as the CALLERLAB Executive Director from June 1999 thru June 2009. He stepped down from the position of Executive Director in 2009 as part of the trasition plan to move the office from Cocoa, Fl to Tpoeka, KS.
He continues to serve as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Round, Traditional, and Square - Dance (ARTS).
In April 2012 Jerry was sworn in as a Member of the CALLERLAB Board Of Governors.
Jerry calls for a Plus club, an Advanced club, and a C-1 Workshop group. These clubs dance in Rockledge and Melbourne, Florida. Please see our schedulefor dates, times, and places.

WE PLAN TO MEET EVERY FRIDAY (Except Holidays) IN THE CRANE COMMIUNITRY CENTER AT 10:00 AM
Jerry joined the CALLERLAB Home Office Staff in late 1994. He moved into the position of Executive Director in June 1999 after having served as Assistant Executive Director for nearly five years. He served as the Executive Director for 10 years, stepping down in June 2009 when the Home Office moved to Topeka, KS. We have enjoyed our service to CALLERLAB during this time and have had some GREAT times and met hundreds of very nice people.
We are beginning our plan for our 2014 RV trip. We plan to visit Jerry's son and granddaughter in Texas, Jerry's brother in New Mexico and attend the CALLERLAB convention in Reno, NV. After the convention we plan to visit Jerry's sone in Portland, OR and then head home. On the way home we plan to visit Jerry's sister & her husband in Wyoming, Jerry's brother and his wife in nebraska, and Del's Brother in Illinois. We hope to make it to the NAtional Square Dance Convention in Little Rock, AR. If all goes well, this will be our longest trip yet.
As you can imagine we are looking forward to be "on the road again." **********************************************************************************
2014 CALLERLAB CONVENTION -
The 2014 CALLERLAB Convention washeld in Sparks, NV (near Reno). The convention was much more than just a gathering of callers. The Opening Session featured a motivaltional speaker to give a big "kick start" to the convention with a presentation on "Marketing On A Shoestring". There were interest sessions for dancers and dance leaders as well.
